The typical Spanish town of Torrevieja , (which is sometimes misspelled as Torreveija) has some good beaches under its wing. It also has an excellent street market every Friday morning and some interesting shops, bars and restaurants worth trying.
The beaches of Torrevieja include Playa del Cura, Playa los Locos and Playa Naufragos , found all along the coast of Torrevieja town. There are also some more good beaches south of Torrevieja at Cabo Roig and La Zenia and if you go a few minutes further north of Torrevieja , you'll find the excellent beaches of La Mata , which is also called Torrelamata , and Guardamar. Both beaches are bestowed with the Blue flag awards every year for their cleanliness, safety and facilities. Torrevieja possesses some excellent sea beds as well. You ll definitely enjoy your holiday here, with the wonderful combination of sun, sand and sea.

Beaches in Torrevieja are very accessible. Noticeably signposted from the town, the beaches have fine, white sand. Signs are posted where services are provided such as showers, foot washers, children's play area, rescue service, lifeguards, security and special areas for relaxation. A number of coves are sandwiched between each beach.
