Torrevieja has a range of food stores to equal anywhere. The French-owned Continente Hypermarket competes with Mercadona and the Spanish chain Todotodo. These super stores supply a wide range of products plus an increasing number of British products.
Many smaller supermarkets on the urbanized places in and around Torrevieja specialize in English products, notably "Tesco" and "Iceland" lines. German products are also offered.
